Mother Earth or Mother Nature, what every you call her, has been under attack for many years. Whether "global warming" is real or not we humans have been abusing this planet that provides us sustenance and life, with no regard for the future.
We take and take from her body never giving back Poisoning her over and over, now she rebels Changing her path she is responding to the attack Listen to her now on the screaming winds as she wails
Shaking with rage as she opens her gutted bowels Spewing forth hot molten rock and fire from deep within And we do nothing except offer up denials Listening to stupid men who think they can still win
Her instructions to live in harmony with all things But greed has destroyed her lands, rivers, trees and seas For decades we have ignored her plaintive rumblings No longer do we respect her sacred memories
Her power is as amazing as her vengeful wrath She wants to lead us back to her harmonious path Listen to her or we won’t be here for the aftermath Listen well for our Mother Earth is on the warpath

We love this poetry Because we are volunteer Environmental Ambassador.
