A constant struggle in my brain

I want to remember and forget too

The happy moments I shared with you.

I'm aware of a lingering thought - transfixed

I ponder the question - my emotions mixed

To remember - forget - it's driving me mad!

But the feelings I have are not all bad.

A touch, an endearment, a glance to fulfill

My aching heart, the tears overspill
