Two people making their way through life.

Poem Artwork

Path less traveled
Two hikers finding
Way for to make
To the clearing

Burrs and bramble
Climbing the deadfall
Sinking in mud
Water trickling

See coyote
Hopes they don't make it
Forest is his
So he's circ'ling

Sweat and tattered
Light at the path's end
New strength is found
See them smiling

The coyote, I find, is indeed quite coy and always infringing on the outskirts of two lives entwined. Good imagery here!

Reads like an episode of Naked and Afraid. ;-) On the other hand, describes a successful marriage very well. I certainly hope to be there someday, smiling on that shining shore.
