Sometimes dreams careen off course/
doors close/
promises blow/
away/
like powdery dust particles/
illogical/
or so it seems/
but in reality/
detours/
act as back-doors/
to the dreamer/
determined to succeed/
to the dreamer determined to succeed/
detours are not finality/
they're just a pause/
she shall succeed eventually/
she knows/
she grows/
transposed
Why am I thinking of Hillary Clinton? I believe it's already too late for her, even if she has transposed. Why do I have these kinds of daydreams in the middle of reading poetry? I don't know.
When I read your poem, I know a good woman will find a way.
