They say that beauty is just skin deep

but when hibernating reptiles get beauty sleep...

i wonder...

i found a feather in my hair

was looking for it everywhere

wearing my glasses too i swear!

i wonder...

answered the phone ringing off the wall

didn't remember where i was at all

so the operator had to trace my call

i wonder...

my roses were cut and in a vase

put water in a pail

there was no waste

but the cat spilled it out all over the place

i wonder...

made myself some celery and cheese

but set it down cause i had to sneeze

so my dog ate it up like a casual breeze

i wonder...

I'm getting old and my brain tends to leak

my skin is crackling

and i need more sleep

haven't heard my alarm clock ring all week

i wonder...

was morning when my car keys fell in the dew

was headed out to go see you

then realized i had lost one shoe

i wonder...

was April fools last time i asked

waved down the police as i saw him pass

he says its March and I'm going too fast

i wonder...

by now i know you're laughing at me

and so is my hubby so that makes three

but what drove him so far up in that tree??

i wonder...
