Published in 1983, taken from the travels of seeing Vietnam, Congo, and Desert Storm in action and sensing a feeling of worse encounters in the future.

Omegas Blessing

Like the transmutation of the world by man
So goes the dwindling time of civilization
Until—one day, I find myself, single handedly
Facing the years of survival—approaching.

I walk about the lands—and
Looking for the clear fluid of life
So, that I, my body—might anoint
In order to survive another eon.

From dusk till dawn, in darkness—searching
To keep shade, coolness—upon my cage
Struggling to find a watery sluice
To refresh the hard scales of my skin.

It has been years—long past
Since I last saw others—like myself
It was a morbid state of affairs, when—
The world became—anhydrous.

And now—I too—glowing with fear
Seeking moisture, dew, water—everywhere—
Have come to find, the last channel
Hoping to find others—like myself.

William - super play on words.

"Omegas Blessing". It is an invitation to march for Justice; a Warning... A message in between every line.

This poem, "Omegas Blessing" was written with a pen that writes with ink mixed with knowledge and wisdom.

"Omegas Blessing" flows simply through the river of emotions to the lake of imagination, where intuition tells the wise to stay put on the side of JUSTICE.

This poem will keep Poetry richer.

I thank You for posting "Omegas Blessing".
