Dedicated to man's best friend

Tiny, blind, helpless,
She appeared in my life
A baby, a wee ball of fur.


Rescued, nourished, loved,
She lived and thrived.
A spirit, strong and determined.


Friend, companion, daughter,
Giving unswerving devotion.
An angel, loving unconditionally.


Guardian, spirit, angel,
No longer of this world.
A memory for life.


Animal, dog, pet,
The perfect love.
Love eternal.

Words that ring so true Joni , this is a wonderful reminder to us.We sometimes take our dear sweet "domestic friends "for granted and they really do give us so much love and friendship,usually when we need it the most.I have a black lab "Miss Gracie" and I know that it would be terribly lonely without her. Thank you for this dear poem and reminder,,
