Fate

It shows up in a thousand snowfalls

Each tiny flake a work of miraculous art

First never better than the last

I revel in the uniqueness

Of the unspoiled, unfiltered truth

It shows up in the astute words of a slight elder

Each conversation a work of quiet reflection

First never better than the last

I revel in the uniqueness

Of the unspoiled, unfiltered truth

The knowing manipulates

But just try to stop my smile

Beside Still Waters by Jill Eisnaugle

Each person is but a grain of sand resting beside the sea. This thought sets the tone for Jill Eisnaugle’s latest poetry collection, Beside Still Waters.

Kind A SLOw In The Kootenays v2.2 by RickthePoetWarrior

Has-beens and coffee get together to recreate a same old new tourist trap in a land even the First Nations don't want.
