Years By: Karen Hecht Springer March 1, 2016 All the years Those sweet, short words Coming in spurts Better than the smell of newly fallen rain Jerking my heartstrings To know you’re there Too near but not near enough One word can shatter dreams Silence being the biggest word of all Dominating with his brother doubt Making me lose faith Succumbing to the bitter enemy called what if Launching tactical operative anxiety When I told you everything When I used the power of long narrative When I gave in to All the years

I know from experience being silent says far more sometimes than words that hurt.
At least you can perhaps start dealing with whatever the problem(s) are if you know where to start but silence is a killer.

Indeed, words are a powerful verb, be it careless vitriol, or generous gratitude has the potential making or devastation of ones life. The little tongue has a lot to answer for.
