Just a little funny!

Captain Red

There was a silly man
He lived a simple life
He liked to eat while in his bed
He did not have a wife

His name was Captain Red
He had a king size bed
He wore pajamas to the floor
A nightcap on his head

One night while lying down
A mouse crept quickly by
Twas looking for a piece of cheese
Or crumbs from Captain’s pie

He scampered up the bed
Sat on the captain’s head
Upon the mustache sitting there
He found some apple spread

With little tiny paws
He ate the tasty wares
Then he looked into the captain’s
Eyes to see if he did care

Oh, how the captain tried
Not to scare the mouse away
For he didn’t want to wash his face
He hoped the mouse would stay

Soon the mouse crawled down
To try to find some space
To snuggle up and warm himself
Beneath the hiding place

Then quickly out of bed
The captain soon did flee
I'll share my food, but not my bed
There’s only room for me

The mouse crawled off the bed
And scampered to his room
The Captain went back to his bed
They both did sleep past noon
