she was gone.
everytime i hear her voice, her laugh, it makes me want to write more since i can't have her here in my arms. albeit, you'll always be in my heart

It is raining

and I am home alone.

Listening to the rain against the patio's concrete.

The rhythmic sound of the rain calms me,

lulling me with its wisdom --

Singing of love and beauty.

Beating out the words of my sorrow.

Answering questions yet unasked.

The thunder rattles,

contradicting my false beliefs

and the lightening revealing the truth.

All while the rain whispers on.

Staying into the darkest hours of the night

then bidding farewell...

                               promising to return.

I, too, have an affinity for rain. Good expression here.

"It's raining on Sunday". Yes, lightening revealing the truth, even when I don't want to see it. G, I know you understand.

I have a lifelong passion for rain... referring to it as having 'wisdom' and later describing that it 'whispers' zoomed
straight into me... poetic, yes.. and so true. I know this is a sad moment in your piece...the melancholy and your writing of the rain is blissful
and beautiful... moving. katy xox.

Wonderfully melancholy...and full of the pain of lost love. May you find reprieve and solace...all good things to you...
