A description of a witch on Halloween night.\.

This Halloween Night

Against the moonlit sky stood the boney limbs of the bare Oak trees,

while the withered leaves swirl in circles created by an unseen force.

Behind the haunted house the witch brews her black tea;

for her, it is the one and only magical source.

The black iron pot is under the watchful eye of a midnight dark cat.

The witch rambles on in a language never heard, blending her liquid with scattered bitter potions,

for those who dare to get close will find out about every bit of that.

So, anyone thinking about the haunted house, please don’t get any notions.

On this Halloween night, amplified by a bright full moon,

look up at the sky and you shall see her on a broom.

The scare crows will shutter.

The owls will speak with a single utter.

The spiders are busy spinning their silky webs,

as the bats in the belfry look for unprotected heads.

The wind whistles a tune in a low tone,

while the house comes to life with ghosts and ghouls left all alone.

Their haunting sounds dance with shadows and candle light,

the corn shocks in the field swiftly sway with all their might.

It’s the night of the living dead.

That’s what goblins said.

So, on this Halloween night, if you get feelings that are so eerie,

don’t think twice about the witch with her mighty sin.

With tippy toes and nerves on end, you have to be a little leery.

When you get that feeling, put on your sneakers and run like the wind.
