(Upon the four month anniversary of my wife's death. Missing Laura's presence each night. Remembering the gift I was given.)

If I softly called your lovely name,
Would you still respond the same?
Would that angel smile still flash untamed,
If I softly called your lovely name?

 If I longingly caressed your silken hair,
Would you still whisper how much you care?
Would you tilt your head, your neck to bare,

If I longingly caressed your silken hair?

 If I gently touched your rosy cheek,
Would my own your fingers seek?
Would your trembling knees still grow weak,
If I gently touched your rosy cheek?

 If I deeply kissed your pursing lips,
Would your pounding heart still turn flips?
Would you take a another passionate sip,
If I deeply kissed your pursing lips?

 If I softly called; if I longingly caressed;
If I gently touched; if I deeply kissed;
If God granted us one more night to share,
Would you still desire to meet me there?
