Lonely men are fighters;
A bruised and blood-bound brotherhood.
Lonely men are drifters;
Bearing somber, sun-shadowed secrets.
Lonely men are dreamers;
Visions and victories similarly veiled.
Lonely men are schemers;
Ever molding mind to meaning.
Lonely men are poets:
Impatiently weavijng wildness, words and wonder.
Lonely men are lovers;
Test this: timeless their touch.
Lonely men are seekers;
A single smile to summon surrender.
Each lonely man is all this:
Soul-self, skirting sorrow, thus sustained.
A lonely man embraces,
And becomes,
His loneliness.
