Silence?
   Misstated: rising breeze in the trees,
      A whisper?
         I know the tone,
            But message and messenger?
               The question stands.

Birds: chatter, chirp and tweet,
   Our words odd to the ear.
      Not mimicking but describing;
         They are each message and messenger.

The world is alight;
   Have we devised the shadows?
      So it might seem:
         The question stands.

Clouds rush to some purpose,
   Known only to clouds;
      I am not privy to their destiny.

Silence?
   Misstated...time itself murmurs,
     I know the tone.
        The question stands...
