A father’s love is steady A father’s love is still A father’s love not musty A father’s love is real It’s different from a mother’s love But yet it binds and holds A father’s love is buried Deep within his soul I pray that you will love me The way that I love you I pray that you will cherish me The way I cherish you I know that I’m not perfect I have done a lot of wrong But please child when I call you Do pick up the phone I pray that we’re united And never pulled apart And please remember darling child To hold me in your heart

It kills me how many families fall short.
I had such a blessed childhood, and try to do my best by the family left.
