Light verse about a forgotten king.

Igor the Ignorable

Igor the Ignorable was a lost, forgotten king,

He is never mentioned in the annals,

Of him the minstrels do not sing.

He did live, once, however,

And ruled his kingdom well,

But no one knew where it was.

I do, but do not ask, for I will never tell.

I hope your poem is not ignorable. You're right, there was such a king (perhaps many), but they did not fight stupid wars or do otherwise Shakespearean things, and therefore, were probably quite boring to those seeking action stories and ignored.
