Pumpkins
The patches are producing the plumpest pumpkins
For the festive farm’s full displays
And the creative customers will cut and carve
As they gouge the gourds in many ways
Some will fill the roadside stands
Others will be painted just for show
Some will be carved for jack-o-lanterns
Others will rest beneath the scarecrow
Some will be cooked and baked in pies
Others will be abandoned on an October trail
Some will be smashed by kids for fun
Others will be turned into an ale
