I'm just back from a hike in the forest...
I lyke to walk and think of people and things long gone....
This is one I remembered...

foolish poem..


upon a summer’s night it was
when i but foolish led
the daughter of the minister
unto my garden shed

we went in search of things unknown
we were but virgin two
dishevelled were her underthings
and what am i to do ?

“you callous boy” she pouted from
the volume of her gown
“you ne’er should ever interfered
nor ever taken down

my girdle so and stays rig-id
my garments so feminine”
alas my deed was commom known
by the bawling of her whine

now i am shamed amidst the folk
of my lonely little glen
but hiding behind their morality ,
they laugh at me.. the men

who also led so foolishly
so many years ago
the wives who now share bedroom space
and cause them so much woe.

so i am off to anywhere
to any foreign region
for to escape that minister’s wrath
i’ll have to join the legion...
