First Warning


The purring in my ears
and loss of hearing
smudged everything

my sight
was hazily awkward
as was my tongue control

legs
which were born strong
shamefully betrayed me
and like twin judas towers
falling
they left me on my arse
skyward looking
and dumbfounded

Hmm - think I've been there actually.
Fascinating little poem, I hope it was not prophetic.

I liked this, nice use of visuals and language. It could be ice, it could be an illness, it could just be a false step, I like how you let the reader decide. Well done!
