Black bear on Sombrio beach
The space between panic and calm was thirty yards I guessed as he lumbered forward The time it took to cock a shutter was pure terror but I clicked and he halted at the noise The relief and damp sweat heat stank the beach as I pissed uncontrollably The innocence of his retreat shamed the wet legs of my quick-dry pants G..2005
