A proud bird celebrating his very being.

Yes I am a blackbird Just as black as I can be That’s the way my creator made me, As you can clearly see That’s why I walk with pride And hold my head up high I can sing, strut and fly I have nothing to hide Look at my beautiful feathers They glisten in the sun Children like to play with me I bring them so much fun. My feathers are very black My color is my name The other birds they love me For they know that we are all One and the same

Birds of all feathers flock together,
When they visit my feeder to eat.
Blackbirds, redbirds, blue jays, yellow finches,
Everyone's welcome to have a seat.
