Nothing Else To Do

I wasn’t really aware

That I’d been here before

But I soon realised

When he opened the door

I sat and gazed out the window

And couldn’t understand why

That in a matter of minutes

A duck flew by

He made his way to where

I sat and pulled up

A very rickety chair

Then he looked at me

Vacantly: I felt uneasy

But I forced a smile

And then, after a coffee

He talked for a while

About this and that

Why Maggie wears a hat

Why Bernard Manning is so fat

Why Tommy Cooper says, “Howzat.”

And why Sylvester is a cat.

It really was uninteresting

In fact, I was positively

Bored. So I told him so

And went to watch TV

The next hour I was back in

The same chair and that is

Where he found me dying

You see I took an overdose;

There’d been nothing else

To do except sit

Waiting for him, you

Know that psychiatrist

harsh, but far too real
your mind has that funny way of doing it to us
it can be over-came
real so to real

Andrea,

Agree with 'Jude' - hope that this was fiction ... will be praying!!

Blessings,

Robert

Run out in the rain all nakey and regain yourself from the beginning. Feel the water and grass between your toes, and each tiny sting of the rain drops. When life has you back in the corner you have to kick the wall down and escape back to being just you.

this is indeed sad...and it can happen if we wait for someone else to give us the answers that are already inside everyone. if it feels wrong...if it is bad for your body, your mind.. it is bad...period. of course as so many of us know, the blackness often blots out everything else
