This poem talks about the war between inner self (ego) and inborn talents gifted by God. This war ends with the success of inborn power and enjoyed the artistic joy.
SOUL’S ARTISTIC JOY
My pen dashes before me
Uniting with my brain
And pensively row
Through the eternal world
Catching the powerful words
From my unconscious treasure
“Leave me, please
I am not a poet” plead I
But command me to follow,
His realistic path
Obeyed me silently
Before the fountain of God’s grace
Shivering the head myself
Cause disturbance to creativity
Shutting my ears
Block the chivy of God
I rebel against Him
As Satan in Milton’s Paradise Lost
And cursed God’s artistic joy
My depressed soul, part of heaven
Twisted in pains, yelled
As burnt in cauldron of oil
And craves me to accept
Mystic power of inner self
It changes the world
By folding our fits against sin
Flow of Coleridge’s creativity
Broken by some obstruction
But God never ready to flag
His green signal
To obstruct my creativity
With the fence of ego I made
My soul waits for a reply
I yield silently before god’s gift
Take part of soul’s drive
Starts a revolt using my pen
As a sword against the sin, that
Waits to devour the human world
Like a chick by a python.
Now, my Jove! Make out the fact
Tastes the eternal flavour of
Art and peace
Through the devotion of my inner self
Leaving my ego forever
I deliver my baby, poem
Revealing the inborn talents
With God’s gifted pen
With a heavy sigh, first in life
I enjoyed soul’s artistic joy.
The image fits your mood in this poem perfectly… pensive.
While I don't write, and sometimes abhor non-rhyming stream of consciousness writing like this, I find this poem to be very well-crafted with references to some great writers and the religious source of your creativity.
Timeless wisdom and advice on the art of living for today’s young and old: The art of thinking, the art of loving, the art of working, the art of leadership, the art of growing old.
