I remember
When I thought
Eighteen was old
And now I remember
When I thought
Forty was young -
So what can be said
For a lifetime
For eternity's sake?

Perhaps that
The time, that is
And the time that was
Are relative to
What it is
To be alive presently.

To know -
To look forward
With dismay
And back
With chagrin.

But as long as
We are alive -
Alive to look,
To see,
To be,
We Are-
And that is
Compensatory
Nebulous,
Indefinable Forever.

She did hit upon many things that have so much truth to them. Once again this was a remarkable woman.

That says it all. Excellent poetry.
