I want to tell you something about my life.
There was a time when everything in it was right.
My days were filled with work but love occupied my nights.

There was this girl that I loved with my whole being more than she knew.
She was the one I had waited my life for and made my world seem new.
We lived, we loved, we made plans as only lovers do.

But life has a way, as we all know, of causing much pain.
And as time passed, so did her love for me, which was so strange.
But you can't tell me that her love for me really changed.
Things may have gone wrong to her but my love for her is still the same.

Then time once again passed its judgement and cut me like a knife.
And before I could win her love back she took her life.
Now my days are sunless dark clouds and lonely are my moonless nights. 

So now you know the whys to why I'm not so glad.
I promise you would too if you had the love that I once had.
Its hard to say but I'm sure in time....no too sad.
