Definitely a four letter word
It can both be felt and heard
Not uttered to hate or harm
Whispered gently, oft with charm
From one human to another
Lover, friend, or any other
It is why the rose smells sweet
It is why the song birds tweet
If you look-its everywhere
Surrounding everything- like air
It is the voice of every heart
In embrace or far apart
Calming as a cooing dove
Friends, the four letter word is- Love!
This sends out a ribbon of goodness, an element that seems in short supply these globally-troubled days. Astute of Ron to name the four-letter words contained in your poem…song, dove, bird…..also I can add rose, hate, look and ‘word’ itself.
