A Joyous Day

As the dark night folds its wings
Heralding the day- a warbler sings
The stars begin to dim and sink
The eastern sky turns slowly pink

Leaves rustle gently in the breeze
Bees busily hum, and flowers tease.
Alight on them with effortless ease
As they choose, whenever they please

Nature's gently alive, awake
Ready for the day's give and take
Everything's here as if to make
It Joyous, wonderful, for our sake

So let us firmly seize the day
Make it ours in every way
Cherish, savor, revel, and say
'There'll be nothing but Joy today!'
