We are born -we live and die
Many have wondered, questioned- why?
We laugh and cry are cruel and kind
We love and hate- lose and find
We rob, cheat, kill and maim
Can be gentle, generous, tame
In youth we think we know it all
In later years- illusions fall
This lustrous youth will shrivel and shrink
Or be cut short in a single blink
Few stop and think- where will this go?
Some who ponder- yet not know
In the course of waning Life
Hope Love triumphs over strife
Whatever the reason we are here
Let's spread Love, Bonhomme and cheer
I'm with you. Why spend a lot of time questioning the unknown? We are here, we are alive and well most of our lives. We should rejoice, include others and live life to the fullest. It's the only one we have.
Dear readers, this is my third book of poems, and inside are a special collection of what have turned out to be not only MY personal favorites, but also the favorites of many of YOU. Some of these have never been available in print before...
