I wrote this poem for my friend, Frieda Dean, who is an excellent dancer. Frieda recently wrote to say that she was choreographing dances to my new CD, the ' Unsung Songs ' - and I wrote her this poem in return.
The Dancer
The dancer
Radiant
As transparent as air,
Transcending the body,
A fluid sculpture of form
And idea and music,
Inseparable and floating,
The physical vehicle for the soul
An intangible Chalice
Of precious gems....
Space and time
Now immersed in the infinite,
Suspended....
Peace be with you
