Quiet Night

In the night, when the house is silent,

and all I hear is my own breath

When the moon is nigh, stars held high,

and I am cradled with their life

Holding memories, near and far, my family,

my loved ones, all is right

Quiet in thought, warmth is here,

holding me close, loving those near

And far, with laughter in dreams,

nothing it seems to fear in the night

Beautiful expressions of warmth and swaddling, imbueing the spirit with calm and fondness. It is lovely when the night can bring with it such tenderness of feeling and security - indeed, then is there nothing to fear. I like the far-reaching application and effect of this. Thank you. Kate x

I enjoyed the association of nights filled with dreams mixed with laughter that only a family can bring. Beautiful poem.

This calms the nerves and soothes the soul as we look at our own sweet safe quiet space, whether it be at home at night or solitary walk on a beach the atmosphere is the same. Well done I love this one Sharon.

'When I'm in the middle of a dream, stay in bed, float upstream...please don't wake me, no don't shake me, leave me where I am, I'm only sleeping.'

Bliss!

Hence was the immediate impact on my thoughts while reading your reflection on a golden slumber, as it were.

By the way, as if you didn't know already, one guess who sang the above.

Regards
Dai
