today rapper Beanie Segal got shot in a robbery attempt.I sent him my Poetry book Prison Solitary and other free Government services in Jail. The Prison sent it back and didnt let him have it. So this is a poem for him.
Bullets in my Cornflakes
Bullets all around my Face
Where can I look without seein Lead
I said ….
where can I Look without seein Lead!
I eat I spit out Lead!
What’s it gonna take
to get peoples screams out my head
Go to sleep at night without maybe wakin up dead
The Younger the kid the bigger the Gun
Cocked for the hunger money grippin some might wonder
Never had nothin so aint scared to die
part of life to hustle part to die.
my lifes worth what ?
never had the chance
To climb, or try
Never had no one tell me
I could do good if I try
Damn , shame gotta risk my life to Survive.
gotta be duckin and dodgin slipin and slidein
peeped tha money
Crack tha lock- now it’s mine
So I hide it
Cept for my bling- bling an the ring
cash registers sing
Bus a cap to me means no---Thing
like the sting when the bullets Ping
When its entering ….
my life ,my side, my wall, my baby crib
Right here is where the bullet still is…
One more inch said I wouldn’t live. an If I die before I take
Its one less day I'll find bullets in my cornflakes.
