Hip Hop Legion NIPSEY HUSTLE was killed The week of April 1st.2019.What damage that does to the Community. Its sad that the Violence among the Millennials,is at an all time high and not seeming to slow down anytime soon.Its always the Rappers that are doing something or many things,positive for the Community that get killed.Im so sick of hearing people say the violence has got to stop
No one seems to change their life in which to help the violence stop.That I can see on the large scale Asking or saying its GOT to stop..Is just NOT enough..People have to sacrifice and actually get involved.I try to tell non fiction stories where the Crime and street Life always comes to a sad out come.Hoping to educate.
This way my time as a youth suffering in Jail,or suffering from my baby daddy being a Demon,(almost made me take a life)Rapes,drugs,Prison friends overdosing.All kind of Crazy life shit.What turned me around?I listened to the elders.
1.I realized I was a little smarter than most of my friends and that being said I realized they only had their best interest at hand NOT mine.And Lastly You do your time by yourself.I realized I was going to have a rough life at 14 when my best friends sister died of an OD.in Jr.High school something inside grew up overnight,I cut my ponytail an picked out my Afro.It was so symbolic to me.
When XXXTentasion was killed giving a positive message to believe in yourself,to stay positive.I really though the youth would see the light.The loss of a young man who had been through the Hell of Jail and actually put his Money where his Rap was from. Back to the street.Rap is a convoluted mishmosh of self indulgent petty glorified drug induced Nonsense.
Rarely is there a message anymore..or a good story told.BUT It still came from the street the style the Culture The slang.So that element will always be there, But its been distorted Twisted.As a tool of detriment opposed to what it was a tool for exposure of street tales that educated..and made you get up an Dance feeling happy.
Nipsey Knew it all to well.So he gave back to his hood in Cali.Bought strip malls,gave people jobs,Put people on to the Game of the entertainment industry..Basically a Righteous Brova.
An what do the Youngbloods do?Shoot him 5 times and once in the head for their 15mins.of fame.
The pain is so deep.
Were losing the good Brovaz.The Teachers,The mentors, the ones put here to steer us a people as a Community.NIP as people called him.was to meet with the police the next day to work out a viable plan to stop the Gang violence In Cali as he was a Rollin 20 crip at one time.
