Written September 11, I just came across it in my Journal. It still holds lots of emotion to me...
(These new lines keep haunting me, maybe if I add them they will stop playing in my head.)
To feel
the connectedness
in the energy we all share.
To feel
same pulse beating
in everyone, everywhere.
To feel
and recognize we are one,
down to the last atom.
To feel
the pain of others
to feel their joy.
To feel
the freedom
of a child.
To feel
the power
of the Wind.
To feel
the heartbeat
of the Earth.
To feel the Tide
ever pulling
at us.
To feel
the energy
of each molecule of life.
To feel
the recreation of the Universe
in each passing breath.
To feel
the power we all share
to change wrongs to rights.
To feel
the love
of forgiveness.
To feel
a sibling
to every face.
To feel
all these things
as we embrace one another.
To feel
this is
true peace.

This is a good description of how many felt after that horrible day, you just wanted to hold on to everyone you loved. Excellent work.

Well put. I would try moving "to feel all these things as we embrace each other" down to right above "to feel this is true peace" because they seem to lead into each other.
And it seems as though it should be so easy...To Feel. Yet some do not know how...not really. They shut down and can't really let those feelings be expressed. I liked the form you used here!
