Like dew drops on a lotus leaf, Diana, we all eventually vanish. As the Poet Kozan proffered:
"Empty handed I entered the world
Barefoot I leave it
My coming, my going,
two simple happenings

Funny, but I was about to leave the comment
"Zen to the end," to act as if I understood your
treatise. How foolish of me. Thanks for explaining
some of the meaning of Zen.
Quite compelling, Diana. Presumably the artwork is yours, also? In this quantum universe we inhabit/or not, 'plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose' is not always a physical constant. [One thing most people remain unaware of is that Schroedinger's cat was a feline artist. One day it walked into an art studio...and didn't.] I enjoyed this one, needless to say. -K2
Wunderbar! Such a simple focus on such a complex subject. There is so much to realize from the "nothing" edict of safe and workable philosophy for then and now. If only more were attuned. Your short thoughts here speak volumes of wisdom. Bravo.

The we of ourselves seems to be the outward reflection of who we perceive ourselves to be in the mind. We live more in the mind than we do in the world, thus the need for the Zen of now. Your post got me thinking, Diana. That's what a poem should do, inspire the reader in unexpected ways.
Dear readers, this is my third book of poems, and inside are a special collection of what have turned out to be not only MY personal favorites, but also the favorites of many of YOU. Some of these have never been available in print before...
A people’s heart can be found in their poetic words. In history men and women have stood firmly upon their soapboxes and street corners, rallying the deepest beliefs of people to rise up and be heard. The poetrypages.com has offered that voice a new

PS: The artwork is most intriguing.
