Your pics always seem to appropriately accompany your poetic tale, in this case, a tale of woe that an intimate relationship can become. The staccato feel of the poem has its own impact. I have written something similar, years ago, but I ended mine on an upbeat note. "I wear a heart // You wear a crown." Marvelous.
