They used to prescribe it. Bedrest, they called it. But more likely today, they would want you to get out of bed and walk in the park or something peaceful like that.

But from what you wrote, you have found it by going into your library and browsing.

What I don't get at night call mom I get a few times a day by just going outside on the little deck in front, putting my feet up high, to let the blood flow to my brain and just relaxing for 150-20 minutes while listening to the cars go by on the street, the birds twittering, the dog barking and an occasional jet plane flying off going somewhere, like San Antonio.

Such a quiet and arresting look at one of our most precious gifts: the ability to rest... pretty much whenever we wish. Yet... as your words so beautifully express, many fear looking weak, without purpose is they reveal they are but resting to recharge what is so important... that thrust forward to be all one is, to take the risk of being authentic and without a buried agenda. So many behave as you've suggested. They trade honest rest for making sure no one says they are running, fearful etc. So much to think about in so few words.
