The Immorals of our world
Where are the leaders of our world?
What have happened to the values that made humankind strong?
Where are our compassion, integrity, kindness, love and respect for one another?
We are in a crisis!
A crisis too urgent to ignore!
The Im-morals of our world seem to be in charge.
Giving the impression that we are an oasis,
We export democracy, military threats, war, occupation and cartoons, galore!
Under the Bushes, it is our way or complete sabbotage.
We are in a crisis!
A crisis too dangerous to overlook!
The Im-morals of our world are writing our public policies.
Our women will take extreme measures to become Barbie or Isis.
Their insecurity will lure them under the knife just for the look.
Communities everywhere are transforming into new societies.
Behind the pulpit, our religious leaders become saints
Behind closed doors, our children are in agony.
They have no one to trust or rescue them.
Our teachers are doing the same under different coats of paints.
They forgot that children learn from deeds and testimony,
But rarely from lecture or national anthem.
We are in a crisis!
A crisis too systematic to downplay,
The Im-morals of our world need to go!
Let us save humankind!
Very well said! I applaud you for saying what is truth. Im-morality is more than what is the obvious sin, and isn't always dressed up in brazen outfits or wearing blood red lipstick, is not just the drug-dealer or the non-believer or smokey dens where liquor flows, it is often times, more often I believe, in our churches, at work through arrogant and manipulative leaders/politicians, alive in the greed and lack of compassion for the poor, alive in those who pass judgement and discriminate and horde and hide behind pressed suits and descent haircuts and polished shoes and well crafted speeches. Thanks for a great poem... made me think!

Powerful piece and every word need applause for the people of the world have slacked off big time in values and respect, the care for one another is going down the drain we have fallen from the way side. This was well expressed and full of truth. I see the decline of human kind and it is a sad thing.
Unfortunately, the immorals are the ones running things in far too many cases. How about coming over to sign the guestbook on my website against genocide?
