The Buddlia is in bloom
The butterflies know it too
It's the closing chapters of summer
And the skies are not so blue
But longer light in nights make us go out
Sometimes on foot; sometimes with umbrellas
But sometimes I creep into those short soft padded briefs
Don my safety helmet and cycle to my hearts content
thinking about the Friends that have visited us this year
from afar and from so near.
What they have in common is not their nationality.
Nor their professions, nor their wealth or poverty.
Come to think, its more than one facet.
Yes, I did think first of the similarity in our ages.
It's a fact and a comfort to know that life was been
shared by us all in world events and family ups and downs
but there is something more profound, more ethereal, more
complex. It is a trusting loving relationship which binds
us close when we are together and calls us to communicate
when we are apart. And some times all that is needed is to
read or say the simple word, THANKS.
Be always safe,
Karen
