Toes on carpet creeping softly towards the covers
Of the harbour which protects the tired body till dawn
Nail boots on the carpet announce the new day
Sonorous sleep and dreams are all but gone.
Spikes upon the green velvet putting place
Golfers getting ready to hit that ball to outer space
Slippers on the evening’s yours to sit and contemplate
Then switch off all lighting and retire to that secret place
Bare feet in the bed and all that nature brought
A touch, a confirmation. Two bodies intertwine
Then as one, the movement gains momentum
And the love that’s yours has now become mine.
Toes on the carpet
Blessings,
Christine
