It is ironic that trees are budding, bulbs are popping up everywhere etc but tomorrow there is a storm warning for a blizzard with up to 25cms of snow...

 One Last Fling (Spring Blizzard)

By: Felix Perry

Lady Spring appears, knowing you too well

Tempting you with promises of sunny days

Flirting using her emerging rainbow styles

Enticing you, in her coy, little endearing ways

Seducing, a cheating lover returned from past

Come walk with me, into my summer bliss

Her warm touch turns bleak landscape to green

Sun-rays on your face, her sweet alluring kiss

As in past, naively falling for her deceiving lies

With open arms, you forget the pain and sting

Oh, happy day, you rush wishful into her embrace

Only, she is gone again, your fickle Lady Spring…

This is so cleverly written Fee…! …
and so true…here in UK we were tempted
to think Lady Spring had finally arrived…
20 degrees for one day two weeks ago…
We languished beneath blue skies and Sunshine…
Since then snow, sleet and hailstones…
Then a little sunshine naively draws us back,
but then temperatures fall to less than freezing!

We shall always forgive her however…
Enticing us with her coy little endearing ways…
For she is the HOPE we need after the long dark Winter…

Genius work!!

How true. Have seen it happen many times. My partner just remarked this morning how our brilliant green and dark red flowered pinks have endured through the winter and are blooming better now. But she remembered how they looked with snow on them, still blooming brightly underneath. "Strong roots," she said.

And our bridal veil that I planted and that was transplanted two times because it got too big and had to be moved, is blooming again, a sure sign of spring. I had her take a picture. When she came back she again said, "Do you remember when it was covered with snow?

I don't remember but I'm sure she's right. Fickle spring happens here all the time.

I like the way you describe Lady Spring as having "coy" ways. Here where I live that is an apt description, as she plays hide and seek with winter (and us) until suddenly summer has us in it's hot and humid grasp. She's such a tease!

The Heart's Way by Rebecca McKeehan

Love is universal and not limited to the most perfect among us. In this collection of romantic short stories and poetry, love comes to those who are decidedly imperfect, who possess very real human flaws, scars, and challenges. Awaiting us as we are.
