It is hard to forget a dance when your dance partner won't leave your heart...

Forgotten Dance By: Fee We danced with the whispering wind On a dance floor of shifting sands Spinning and twirling each other Lovingly holding each other’s hands Then our slow-dance came to end The song lyrics faded slowly away When you said your tearful goodbye Told me no more could you stay Still, sometimes alone in the dark I hear our sweet song from before Close my eyes and imagine I see you Beyond the walls and locked door…

As I read, I couldn't help thinking I have been there, and done that. Parting is such sweet sorrow (ugh) but when it is done during a slow dance, it is even worse.

You write the best love poetry, even when it fails.
