Rain falls down
Like glitter
And I dance in it
Wishing I were pure and naked
I feel like a newborn
With primordial fluid washing over me
Flowing through me
And blessing me like stardust
Creating a high as good as any drug
I marvel at the colors
That cut through the raindrops
When I open my mouth and
Let them flow down my throat
Its like drinking purity
Within the folds of a rainbow.

There is something about the rain, isn't there? To this day, I still like to stand in it, walk in it. This is a delightul work, Carrie.

You and me both. The neighbours must think I'm bonkers, I so love the rain. The harder the better..

Excellent. Have you ever read my piece "I rained poetry"? Evokes the rain as a metaphor and there is a line "the thought of you, naked in the rain" that came to mind as I read this.

I am editing this to include a link to where you can find the piece online...it was part of my 2002 interview with "poetry Life and Times"
