Like most of my poems, this evolved from one single image....

There’s sadness in this thunder

Gray and sullen

And swift moving

Like the storm in your eyes

I tried to hold onto you

But, like fog, you were further away

The closer I got

And, you ran through my fingers like misty air

As my knees crashed to the ground

Like lightning

And my sobs became the rain overhead

You ran and were gone

Leaving nothing but havoc in your wake.

carrie,

this is beautiful in its strife
sometimes the most attractive
things in our lives are the most
obscure and intangible

What they say about the eyes not lying is true and if you look you can read so much in someones eyes and I think you have read and transferred your reading so well in this write. Well done Carrie.

Hugs,
Felix
