The moonlight melts

Against your skin

Making you glow

Like you’ve been feeding on stardust

You’re pregnant with ideas

Of how to hold onto this beauty

And, you’re breathless when the clouds part

And reveal Mother Moon

When I look at the glisten of

Your black hair in

The shower of moonlight,

It occurs to me

You must be a Goddess

Because I worship

The very breath from your lungs

And you’ve granted me

The gift of sight

As I must have been
