You fought the pain

Finally you have arrived

Where every smile oozes with relieved content

Where nobody ever hurts
Should I cry, should I smile?
So many confusing questions
So many confusing emotions
Never to hear your sweet voice
Singing your grandchildren a sweet lullaby
Never to feel your loving arms
Encircling us always with such love
Never to taste your unconditional love
Cooked in the afternoon Sunday lunches
Never to hear your warm wise words
Guiding us, teaching us, supporting us
But I will smile
For finally you are in loving arms
The arms that for twenty years have been waiting
Finally you are with Daddy again
