It creeps into my brain,
My mind lapping it up like a thirsty dog.
I feel it in me, the memories returning.
Higher,
Ever so higher I would fly,
To the distant stars and beyond.
Floating towards the edge of the universe,
I pass a chair orbiting Saturn.
I trim the jib and head for Leo,
Regulus guiding my compass.
Lonely,
Ever so lonely are the journey's,
To the distant stars and beyond.
Thunder rattles the windows as a
Lightening bolt splits the mountains.
And my thoughts return to her.
Her face soft, voice just an echo.
Gently,
Ever so gently she walks through my dreams,
And to the distant stars and beyond.
