This is written from the prospect of wondering what did God see, feel, think, perceive when he visited all he had created? In the moment the piece opens God is ending the silence of the absence of life, even his presence is electric ...
What Did God See
*********************************
What face moved upon the waters
And bid silence
To draw nigh and surrender
To sit stifled
And as always still
Then when paused,
Learn of regret
Witnessing elation's of echoes
Now at last streaming
Across horizons, mountains, plains, heights and depths
What warm was warm
What new was new?
Did days to come
Sit and wait in turn
Was the night dressed in black?
Turned against this day
But desperate not to be alone
Then sought to entice the moon
Did the sun shy but smitten
By night's heavenly glance
Sit rudely relegated then and now
Never to visit that twilight time
What was the wonder of that moment?
And were flowers all be it
Too young to grow
Playing even then
Excited in choosing colors they would wear
Chasing rumors
Proving and disapproving
Of what was whispered to be
Their time of spring
What fact said high?
What term said sweet?
What is it
That knowledge did not know
If all was future
Was the past yet still asleep
First shadows bragged and then were gone
Rain was ready to fall
Did snow rehearse each design?
They alone could keep
What face moved across the waters
What voice spoke?
Or whispered life
What dance did the wind try?
While racing to and fro
What did angels see?
And celebrate too
Not knowing what was to come
That face moved upon the waters
Examined all that
Was, is and will be...
And spoke and said
"It is good"
When God created everything ready for man, He created Adam, but when Eve was created, He had second thoughts...and a headache.(LOL) Nice poem and message!
