Here we are—
striding on ice,
pressures’ on vacation,
the symphony creating,
an atmosphere
of delight;
night approaching,
temperature falling,
except around us,
all alone as February
fades into March,
the sky is dark
but we are the light,
what a sight,
we are.

Maybe the stars are watching,
spying from the distance,
but it really doesn’t matter,
because when two souls click,
resistance fades and idle chatter
becomes meaningful,
conversing about dreams,
hopes, and desires,

building the perfect fire,
staying warm on
the winter ice,
dancing and skating,
receiving a private ovation,
from the angels in Heaven.
