If there was just this one,

what point would there be?

One life, then we're through,

one life, then we're free.

There isn't just the one,

of that I've been assured.

I've been here a long time,

my fate is secured.

It isn't meant to scare,

I always have control.

I say where I'm going,

my mission, my fate, my role.

Look at the mountain.

There's the top of the Earth.

A trillion ways to get there,

choices made before your birth.

I struck out the last time.

I made too bold a stand.

I fought for the people.

I led the repressed band.

What was I missing?

I wondered at my death.

The light washed around me

on that bodys' last breath.

A voice boomed all over

Within me and with out.

"You can't fight for anything,

that's not what it's about."

"So have another go,

oh, sweet child of mine.

All has been forgiven,

in all directions of time."

And now, here we are

or rather, just I.

I took me with me,

this body standing by.

Forget all of your rules,

forget everything you know.

God says this is endless,

full of patterns, a definite flow.

Join in on your own journey,

it's what you had planned.

You can choose unconscious

but why build in the sand?

This is the first of your pieces I've read.
How refreshing. Divine information clearly expressed.

Again today I read one of your poems and it helps me to understand a little more the purpose of life or in this case lifes. Well written and delivered with good points made in each verse.

This is definitely on of my favorite poems of yours. I've never understood why people are so averse to the idea of reincarnation as well, it just makes so much more sense to me. Anyway, amazing write, straight from the heart, keep up the good work.

43 Haiku and 4 poems of a Wayward Sailor by Mike Walling

Haiku of a Wayward Sailor” encompasses both haiku and poems. Many of the haiku are based on my experiences at sea.
